How to Care for Your Corset
After removing your corset, let it “breathe.” The best way to do this is to hang it briefly on a hanger or over the back of a chair. This helps maintain freshness and prevents deformation.
If the corset becomes soiled, professional dry cleaning is the safest option to ensure proper care.
Never put your corset in a washing machine.
If you choose to clean it yourself, hand washing only is allowed.
How to Clean a Corset
-
Soak the corset in warm (not hot!) water with a detergent for delicate fabrics. Leave it for 20–30 minutes.
-
Gently rinse the corset in water. If there are noticeable stains, you may carefully clean them using mild soap or detergent and a soft-bristle brush.
-
If necessary, repeat the rinsing process several times.
-
Do not wring or twist the corset.
-
After washing, hang it for a few minutes to allow excess water to drip off.
-
Lay the corset flat on a clean terry towel, which will absorb remaining moisture.
-
Once slightly dry, hang the corset to finish drying, making sure no marks from clips or ropes remain.
-
Important: Do not expose the corset to direct sunlight.
